Answer:

Given :-

  • A body at rest attained a uniform acceleration of 4 m/s².

To Find :-

  • What is the distance travelled by a body in the 5th seconds.

Formula Used :-

\clubsuit Second Equation Of Motion Formula :

\bigstar \: \: \: \: \sf\boxed{\bold{\pink{s =\: ut + \dfrac{1}{2} at^2}}}\: \: \: \: \: \bigstar\\

where,

  • s = Distance Travelled
  • u = Initial Velocity
  • t = Time Taken
  • a = Acceleration

Solution :-

Given :

  • Initial Velocity = 0 m/s
  • Time Taken = 5 seconds
  • Acceleration = 4 m/

According to the question by using the formula we get,

\dashrightarrow \sf\bold{\purple{s =\: ut + \dfrac{1}{2} at^2}}\\

\dashrightarrow \sf s =\: (0)(5) + \dfrac{1}{2} \times (4)(5)

\dashrightarrow \sf s =\: (0 \times 5) + \dfrac{1}{2} \times 4 \times 5

\dashrightarrow \sf s =\: 0 + \dfrac{1}{\cancel{2}} \times {\cancel{20}}

\dashrightarrow \sf s =\: 0 + 10

\dashrightarrow \sf\bold{\red{s =\: 10\: m}}

\therefore The distance travelled by a body in the 5th second is 10 m .
