we are given that -
v=25ms-1
time=2sec
a=4ms-1
u=?
By 1st equation of motion
v= u + at
25 = u+ 4*2
25-8=u
u=17ms-1
Displacement = v-u
s=25-17
s=8m

Akshita2004: change in position final - initial
Hemanta555: it is asked to find the displacement i.e how far the object has moved after that velocity...
Akshita2004: so you can find distance by 2nd eq. of motion
Hemanta555: hmm....s=ut + 1/2 at^2......???
Hemanta555: or s = (v^2 - u^2)/2a = 327/ 8 = 40.875m
Hemanta555: you can edit ypur answer....
Akshita2004: by third eq. of motion ans. = 42m
Hemanta555: anyhow it is approx valu...
hasineep: 42 m answer is correct
Hemanta555: ok now edit your answer and put 42m...in it
