From the Question,

  • Spring Force,F = 150 N

  • Compression,x = 20 cm

To find

Spring Constant (k)

Spring Force is given by :

 \huge{ \boxed{ \boxed{ \orange{\rm{f =  - kx}}}}}

Since,

The object is getting compressed

 \rightarrow \:  \sf{x =  - 20 \: cm}

But the measurement should be in meters

 \rightarrow \:    \boxed{\sf{x =  - 20 \times  {10}^{ - 2}m }}

Substituting the values,we obtain :

 \sf{150 =  - k( - 20 \times  {10}^{ - 2} )} \\  \\  \implies \:  \sf{150 = 20k \times  {10}^{ - 2} } \\  \\  \implies \:  \sf{k =  \frac{150  \times {10}^{ - 2} }{20} } \\  \\   \huge{\implies \:  \sf{k = 7.5 \times  {10}^{ - 2} Nm {}^{ - 1} }}

Thus,the spring constant is 0.075 N/m

The spring constant of the spring in the bull worker is 750 N/m .

Explanation:

Step 1:

The builder of the body exerts strength and compression

Force F = 150 N

x = 20 cm = 0.2 m

Step 2:

We know that

F = kx

Where F is the applied force ,

k is the spring constant and

x is the deflection of spring.

Step 3:

Now from the formula ,

we get

$$\begin{aligned}k &=\frac{F}{x} \\k &=\frac{150}{0.2} \\k=& 750 \mathrm{N} / \mathrm{M}\end{aligned}

Thus, the spring constant of the spring in the bull worker is 750 N/m .
