Answer :

According to Newtons first law of motion, When the net force on the body is zero, The body continues to be in the state of uniform motion or rest.

In this case, A force was applied to bring the body into motion ( from rest). Under the influence of it, Body will accelerate. But Once the force is withdrawn, it will continue to move with the velocity it had, just before the force was withdrawn. So, It continues to move with uniform motion because friction is alsonot present, So net force on the object is zero.
