as the body covered the arc length of the semicircle ,  the distance traveled is equal to    π * R ,  where R = radius of circle..

  x = π R

Since he particle started from one end of the diameter to the other end of the diameter,  the displacement magnitude =  diameter = 2 R

     Displacement = 2 x /π

Ratio of distance / magnitude of displacement =    π/2
