Step-by-step explanation:

Given A body covers one revolution around a circle of circumference 7 m in 7 s Find the distance and displacement of the body after 14 s

  • Circumference of circular path = 2 π r = 7 m
  •                                                = 2 x 22 / 7 x r = 7
  •                                   Or r = 49 / 44 m
  • Diameter = 2r = 2 x 49 / 44
  •                        = 49 / 22 m
  • Number of revolutions completed in 7 secs = 1
  • Number of revolutions completed in 14 secs = 1/7 x 14 = 2 revolutions
  • Therefore distance = total path travelled = 2 π r + π r = 3 π r
  •                                                                                   = 3 x 22 / 7 x 49 / 22
  •                                                                                            = 21 m
  • Displacement = Final position – initial position
  •                         = Diameter
  •                        = 49 / 22 m
  •                          = 2.227 m
