Solution :-

In solving a numerical physics, please dont be crazy in finding the answers only, The more you feel ,the more you know Physics.

\text{ Here,.  }

As the ball is dropped gently the it must have (u=0),

According to the equation of motion,

{ u^{2} - v^{2}}

at height H/2 , distance travelled=H/2,so

v² = 2gH/2=gH

V=√(gH )

and direction of velocity is in the direction of acceleration due to gravity.
