using the formula ,

h = ut + ½gt²

time to fall through first half of the distance is h/2

h/2 = ½gt²

t1= √(hg)

time to fall through the entire height is h

= ½gt²

t = √(2h/g) = √2 t1

so time to fall the next half height is

t2 = t − t1

= 2√t1 − t1

= (2 −1)t1

= 0.41t1

so,

t2/t1 = 0.41

so t1 is greater than t2.

so,
