Using v^ 2 = u^2+ 2as
as object is falling from a height so u= 0
this implies u^2 = 0
and a = 9.8 m/s^2 ( acceleration due to gravity)
Now,
v^2= 2as
v^2=2 ×9.8×2.5
v^2=49
v= 7 m/s
hope l help you
have a nice day
