Given : A body falls freely from a height 105 m.

After 1 s of fall gravity disappears.

(g = 10 m/s²)

To Find :  Total time taken by it to reach the ground

Solution:

Gravity is for 1 sec

u = 0

v = u + at

a = g = 10 m/s²

Velocity after 1 sec

v = 0 + 10(1)  = 10 m/s

Distance covered in 1 Sec

S = ut + (1/2)at²

S = 0  + (1/2)(10)1²

=> S  = 5

Remaining Distance = 105 - 5 = 100 m

as no more gravity so velocity is constant = 10 m/s²

Time Further taken = 100/10  = 10 sec

Total Time Taken = 1 + 10  = 11 secs

Time taken by body to reach ground is 11 secs
