so,

By applying pythagoras theorem

${ae}^{2} = {oe}^{2} + {ao}^{2}$

${ae}^{2} = {30 }^{2} + {40}^{2}$

$ae = \sqrt{900 + 1600}$

$ae = \sqrt{2500}$
