Let the distance(S) be 'x'

:.Total S=x+x=2x

:.Total displacement(S->)=x-x=0

Let the time taken for going from A to B be 't1'

Let the time taken for coming from B to A be 't2'

t1=S1/Speed1=x/20

t2=S2/Speed2=x/30

:.Total time taken=t1+t2=x/20+x/30=(2x+3x)/60=5x/60=x/12

:.Average speed=total S/total t=2x/(x/12)=(2x×12)/x=24 metres per second

:.Average velocity=total S->/total t=0/(x/12)=0 metres per second
