A body has a mass of 100 kg on earth. What would be its (i) mass and (ii) weight on the moon where the acceleration due to gravity is 1.6 m/s^2.

Explanation:

Mass on moon = 1/6 × Mass on Earth

= 1/6 × 100

= 50/3

= 16.67kg

Weight = mg

= 100 × 1.6

= 160N
