A body has a weight of 10kg on the surface of earth. What will be its mass and weight when taken to the cenre of earth?

as , mass of an object is constant throughout the universe , mass of the object on moon will be 10kg
whereas , weight of the object on moon is 1/6 its weight on earth
weight on moon = 1/6 × weight on earth
=> weight on moon = 1/6×10
=> weight on moon = 10/6 => 5/3 => 1.66 .. N

Hmm ,So if the Mass of the body is 10kg . Then it's Mass at the Center will be Same as 10 kg . But Weight Changes . As we will reach at the centre of the earth (Suppose ) Our weight will decrease to a Great extent . But not zero.
Some says that g = 0 at the Centre but it's Wrong . It's near to zero .It’s very close to zero, but not quite ever zero. The reason is that the gravitational attraction of the moon and the sun will constantly tug the object .
Note :- If you study in Secondary class then please assume g at centre =0 and so w= 0
But for your Knowledge, i told you its not Zero but Close to Zero .
