Solution :-

As given :-

▪️Acceleration = 2 m/s²

▪️Initial Velocity = 0

▪️Time = 5 sec

Now we have to find out distance travelled in 5 sec.

To find out the distance covered we can directly use

S = ut + 1/2 at²

Or

we can first find out it's velocity via using

v = u + at

Then find out distance from

v² = u² + 2as

By using

S = ut + 1/2 at²

S = 0(5) + 1/2 (2)(5²)

S = 0 + 5²

S = 25 m

By using

v = u + at

and

v² = u² + 2aS

→ v = u + at

→ v = 0 + 2(5)

→ v = 10 m/s ...

Now

v² = u² + 2aS

→ (10)² = 0 + 2 (2) × S

→ 100 = 4S

→ S = 25 m

Answer: 25 m

Explanation:

Given,

Acceleration(a) = 2 m/s²

As body has started from rest So,

Its,

Initial Velocity (u) = 0

Time (t) = 5 sec

To find the distance travelled in 5 second , We shall use 2nd equation of motion. If the distance travelled in time t is S,

S = ut + (1/2 × at²)

S  = 0×5 + (1/2 × 2 × 5²)

S = 0 + 5²

S = 25 m.

Note:- Equation of motion are as follows,

v = u + at

s = ut + (1/2 × at²)

v² = u² + 2as
