A body has an initial velocity of 3 m/s and has an acceleration of 2 m /s2. Find
the distance travelled by it in 5 s and the velocity then.

u = 3m/s

a = 2 m/s^2

t = 5s

v = u+ at

v = 3 + 2*5

v = 3 +10

v = 13 m/s

2as = v^2 - u^2

2*2*s = 13^2 - 3^2

4s = 169 - 9

4s = 160

s = 160/40

s = 40 m

Distance travelled by it = 40 m

Final velocity = 13 m/s
