GiveN :

  • Weight of Body = 20 N
  • Acceleration = 2 m/s²

To FinD :

  • Force

SolutioN :

⇒Weight = Mass * Acceleration due to gravity

⇒Mass = Weight/g

⇒Mass = 20/10

⇒Mass = 2 kg

____________________

⇒Force = Mass * Acceleration

⇒Force = 2 * 2

⇒Force = 4 N

Force is 4 N

Question-

A body has weight 20N. How much force is required to move it vertically upward with an acceleration of 2 m/s².

Answer-

Mass = 20N/10 = 2kg (Gravity acceleration = 10 m/s² approx)

Acceleration = 2 m/s²

Force = ?

We know that

Force = Mass × Acceleration

Substitute the values,

Force = Mass × Acceleration

⇒ Force = 2kg × 2 m/s²

⇒ Force needed to lift the body = 4N
