GivEn:-

  • Initial Velocity, u = 0 m/s

  • Acceleration, a = 2 m/s²

  • Time, t = 5 s

To find:-

  • Distance travelled by that body after 5 sec.

SoluTion:-

Distance travelled,

\dag\;{\underline{\boxed{\bf{\blue{ut + \dfrac{1}{2} at^2}}}}}

\;\;\;\;\small\sf\dag\; \underline{Putting\;the\;givEn\;values\;in\;above\;formula:-}

:\implies\sf (0 \times 5) + \bigg( \dfrac{1}{2} \times 2 \times (5)^2 \bigg)

:\implies\sf 0 + \bigg( \dfrac{1}{2} \times 2 \times 25 \bigg)

:\implies\sf \dfrac{1}{ \cancel{2}} \times \cancel{50}

:\implies{\underline{\boxed{\bf{\pink{25\;m}}}}}

\dag Hence, The distance travelled by the body after 5 sec is 25m.

Additional Information:-

★ Three equation of motion are -

  • v = u + at

  • s = ut + {}^{\text1}\!/{}_{\text{2}} at²

  • 2as = v² - u²

Where,

✩ u = Initial Velocity

✩ v = Final Velocity

✩ s = displacement

✩ a = acceleration

✩ t = time
