A body, initially at rest, starts moving with a constant
acceleration 2 m s-2. Calculate : (i) the velocity
acquired and (ii) the distance travelled in 5 s.

okay ,so

by , v = U + at

  • v = 0 + 2 × 5.
  • [ u = 0 as body started from rest]
  • v = 10 m/s

2) S = ut + 1/2 at²

S = 0 + 1/2 × 2(5)² [ u= 0]

S = 25 m.

V=U+AT

V=0+2×5

V=10ms-1

(2)DISTANCE OR (S)

S=U×T+1/2AT2

S=0×5+1/2×2×5×5

S=25 m

THE DISTANCE TRAVELLED PER 5 S IS 25 M
