A body is acted upon by a number of external forces. Can it remains at rest? EXPLAIN. PLZz reply fast...........

Yes, if for example four forces act from four different directions i.e north, south, east and west, and north and south, east and west forces are equal, then they will cancel out each other and thus there will be no effect on the body.
