  • We are applying 2 forces in same magnitude but in the opposite. So forces will be F and -F. Hence resultant force is F+(−F)=0.

  • Here, perpendicular distance is the same for both of the forces. So, if we calculate 'r×F' cross product, we get the same magnitude of moments but opposite in direction as force are of opposite in direction. Hence the moment of a force is also 0.
