GIVEN -

height = 2000 m

g = 10 m/s²

TO FIND -

time taken

FORMULA TO BE USED -

s = ut + \frac{1}{2}at^{2}\\\\

SOLUTION -

2000 = 0 + \frac{1}{2} (10)(t)^{2}\\\\2000 = 5t^{2}\\\\400 = t^{2} \\\\t = 20 s

ANSWER -

The body will reach the ground in 20 seconds time.

Explanation:

h = 1/2gt^2

h = 1/2 × 10 × t^2

2000 = 5 × t^2

2000/5 = t^2

t^2 = 1000

t = 10s
