Velocity before rebound = v = √(2gh)

v = √(2 x 16 x 10)

v = √( 2 x 160)

Velocity after rebound, v' = 25% v

v' = 1/4 v

√(2gh')=3/4 √( 2 x 160) (as 1/4 or 25% velocity is lost)

Squaring both sides,

2gh' = 9/16 (2 x 160)

h' = 9 metres
