Initial velocity , u = 0 m/s
Time , t = 1 s
Distance , s = ? m
Acceleration due to gravity , a = g = 10 m/s²
Apply 2 nd equation of motion .
⇒ s = ut + ¹/₂ gt²
⇒ s = (0)(1) + ¹/₂ (10)(1²)
⇒ s = 5(1²)
⇒ s = 5 m
So , Distance covered in 1 second is 5 m
