Initial velocity, u= 1m/s

height ,h= 3m

we know that,

2gh = v² - u² (let g= 9.8m/s²)

=> 2×9.8×3 = v² - 1

=> 58.8 + 1 = v²

=> v = √59.8= 7.74m/s

Case 2:

considering, the height = 2m

2gh = v² - u²

=> 2×9.8×2 = (7.74)² - u²

=> 39.2 = 59.9 - u²

=> u = √20.7

=> u = 4.54 m/s
