If the density is less than that of the fluid, the object will floatupward due to the buoyancy from the fluid. An object of lowerdensity will float to the top andonly be submerged by an amount according to the ratio of thedensities.

So when the body is pressed then the distance between the bottom of the vessel and body decrease so upthrust decreases so the bodys weight increases hence at last there will be a point where there is no upthrust
