Answer

  • Distance = 198 m
  • Displacement = 134 m

Exolanation

Given

  • A body is moving on a circular track
  • Radius = 63 m
  • It covers half of the path

To Find

  • Distance and displacement of the body

Solution

  • Distance will be half the circumference and displacement will be equal to the diameter of the circular path

Ditance Covered

  • So here we shall find the circumference and then Divide it by 2 and find the distance travelled!!

→ Circumference = 2πr

→ Circumference = 2 × 22/7 × 63

→ Circumference = 2 × 22 × 9

→ Circumference = 396 m

Then the distance covered will be,

→ Distance travelled = Circumference/2

→ Distance = 396/2

→ Distance = 198 m

Displacement

  • Displacement will be equal to the diameter as it is the shortest path

→ Displacement = Diameter

→ Diameter = 2×Radius

→ Displacement = 2×Radius

→ Displacement = 2×67

→ Displacement = 134 m
