Answer:
When the body complete two and half revolution in a circular path with radius R :
the distance travelled by body is : (2×pi×R)×2.5 = 5×pi×R
or 5×22/7×R=(110/7)×R
[here pi= 22/7]
and the displacement travelled by body is :
(2×pi×R)×0.5 =pi×R
or (22/7)×R

Answer:
Distance travelled=
=5×pi×R
110/7 R
Displacement =
= 2R
In the first case I have multiplied circumference with 2.5 which indicates the no.of revolutions. In the second case they have asked the displacement which is is the shortest distance from starting point to that of ending.Hence diameter is the shortest distance so I have take 2 times the radius.
