Displacement is the shortest distance between the final and the initial points.
So on completing 2 and half revolution the shortest distance between the final and the initial points is the diameter of the circle
Displacement =R
radius =R/2=r
Now distance=
2 \times (2 \times \pi \times r) + (2 \times \pi \times r) \div 2
=
4 \times \pi \times r + \pi \times r
=
5 \times \pi \times r
