Given that,

  • Velocity = 20 m/s
  • Time = 10 sec
  • Mass = 500 kg
  • Acceleration = ?
  • Force = ?
  • Let's calculate the force,

F = ma ( Newton second law of motion )

[ We know a = v/t ]

F = mv/t

F = 500×20/10

F = 1000 N

  • Let's calculate acceleration,

F = ma ( Newton second law of motion )

a = F/m

a = 1000/500

a = 2 m/s^2

  • Distance covered by the body,

S = ut+1/2at^2

S = 20×10+1/2×2×10×10

S = 300 m

Hope this helps you.
