the distance travelled in 3rd second  is 8m .

Explanation:

 distance travelled in 3rd second  =  ?

initial velocity (u) = 3m/s

acceleration (a)  =  2m/s^{2}

for distance travel in 3rd second = distance travel in 3 second  -  distance travel in 2 second

distance travel in 3 second is = ut + 1/2at^{2}

                                               =    3*3+1/2*2*3^{2}

                                              =   9 + 9

                                              =  18m

distance travel in 2 second is = ut + 1/2at^{2}

                                                = 3*2 +1/2 *2* ^{2^{2}}

                                                =   10m

now for distance travel in 3rd second = distance travel in 3 second  -  distance travel in 2 second

                                                      =      18m -10m

                                                       =     8m

now for distance travel in 3rd second = 8m

acceleration :- the rate of change of velocity per unit time is called acceleration the SI unit of acceleration is meters per second square
