SOLUTION

TO FILL IN THE BLANK

A body is moving with 54 km/hr then the velocity in m/s is ______

EVALUATION

Here it is given that a body is moving with 54 km/hr

1 km = 1000 meter

1 hour = 3600 seconds

We have

\displaystyle \sf{  = 54 \:  \: km /hr }

\displaystyle \sf{  =  \frac{54 \times 1000}{3600}  \:  \: m /s }

\displaystyle \sf{  =  \frac{54 \times 10}{36}  \:  \: m /s }

\displaystyle \sf{  =  \frac{540}{36}  \:  \: m /s }

\displaystyle \sf{  =  15 \:  \: m /s }

FINAL ANSWER

A body is moving with 54 km/hr then the velocity in m/s is 15 m/s

Here we have to convert the value of velocity from km/hr to m/s

In order to convert km/hr to m/s, we should know that the conversion factor is 5/18

For example, if we have to convert 18 km/hr into m/s We will have to multiply 18 by 5/18

therefore, 18 km/hr = 18\times\frac{5}{18} m/s

                               = 5 m/s

Now, 54 km/hr = 54\times \frac{5}{18}

                          =3 \times 5\\=15

The answer will be 15 m/s
