given,

d1(distance)= 40m,. t1(time) = 4 s

therefore,

initial velocity = d1/ t1

= 40/4

= 10 m/s ans.....

given,

d2 (distance)= 120m , t2 (time) = 4 s

final velocity = 120 / 4

= 30m/s

therefore,

acceleration = (final velocity - initial velocity)/ time

= (30-10)/4

= 20/4

= 5 m/s2 answer...
