Given :

  • InitiaI veIocity (u) = 10 m/s
  • AcceIeration (a) = 2.5 m/s²
  • Time (t) = 10 s

To find :

  • FinaI veIocity of body

SoIution :

We have ;

→ u = 10 m/s

→ a = 2.5 m/s²

→ t = 10 s

Now using 1st equation of motion ;

⇒ v = u + at

Substituting vaIues :

⇒ v = 10 + 2.5 × 10

⇒ v = 10 + 25

⇒ v = 35

⇒ v = 35 m/s

FinaI veIocity of body is 35 m/s

Equations of motion :

  1. v = u + at
  2. s = ut + 1/2 at²
  3. v² - u² = 2as

\mathcal{\gray{\underbrace{\blue{GIVEN:-}}}}

  • A body is moving with a velocity of 10m/s .

  • It starts accelerating with the rate of 2.5m/s² .

\mathcal{\gray{\underbrace{\blue{TO\: FIND:-}}}}

  • It's velocity after 10s .

\mathcal{\gray{\underbrace{\blue{CALCULATION:-}}}}

\red\bigstar\:\mathcal{\pink{\boxed{\purple{v\:=\:u\:+\:at\:}}}}

Where,

  • v = final velocity = ?

  • u = initial velocity = 10m/s .

  • a = acceleration = 2.5m/ .

  • t = time = 10s .

\rm{\implies\:v\:=\:10\:+\:2.5\times{10}\:}

\rm{\implies\:v\:=\:10\:+\:25\:}

\rm{\boxed{\green{\implies\:v\:=\:35\:m/s}}}

\rm\pink{\therefore} The velocity of the body after 10s is “35m/s” .
