Using third law of motion here deceleration occurs
v*2-u*2=2as
Here v=0
So- (12)*2=2X(-a)X18
a=144/36
a=4mps*-2

RIYA1605: hey dude that is not v^2 = u^2 + 2as. that is v^2 _ u ^2 = 2as
AptkamSingla: I'm right I did this
