Given :-

  • Initial Velocity, u = 2m/s
  • Final Velocity, v = 10m/s
  • Time Taken, t = 5 sec.

To Find :

  • Acceleration, a of the body

Solution :-

\qquadUsing First eqⁿ of motion :-

\qquad\quad\bf\dag\:\bigg\lgroup {\sf {\pink{v = u + at }}} \bigg\rgroup\\

\qquadPutting all known values :-

\qquad\leadsto\quad \sf {10=2+a(5)}\\

\qquad\leadsto\quad \sf {10-2=5a}\\

\qquad\leadsto\quad \sf {8=5a}\\

\qquad\leadsto\quad \sf {a=\cancel\dfrac{8}{5}}\\

\pink{\qquad\leadsto\quad \underline{\boxed{\sf Acceleration = 1.6m/s² }}}\\\\

\therefore\:\underline{\textsf{The acceleration of the body is \textbf{1.6\:m/s²}}}.\\\\

\qquad ☀️Equations of motion :-

\qquad ⑴ v = u + at

\qquad ⑵ s = ut + ½at²

\qquad ⑶ v² - u² = 2as

  • v = final velocity
  • u = initial velocity
  • s = displacement
  • t = time taken
  • a = acceleration
