Answer:

u=0(rest)

a=10m/s2

t=4s

s=ut + 1/2at2

s= 0(5) + 1/2(10)(5)^2

s= 0 + 5×5×5

s= 125

So, displacement = 125m

Mistake in question :

Correct question :

A body is moving with uniform acceleration of 10 m/sec^2. If  it starts from rest, calculate its displacement after 5 s.

Answer :

125 m .

Explanation:

Given :

Initial velocity ( u ) = 0 m / sec

Acceleration ( a ) = 10 m/sec^2

Time ( t ) = 5 sec

We have to find displacement ( s )

From second equation of motion we have

\displaystyle \text{$s=ut+1/2at^{2}$}

where s = displacement

Initial velocity  = u

Acceleration  = a

Time = t

Now put the value in equation we get

\displaystyle \text{$s=0\times5+1/2\times10\times5\times5$}\\\\\displaystyle \text{$s=5\times5\times5$}\\\\\displaystyle \text{$s=125 \ m$}

Thus we get displacement of body is 125 m .
