A body is placed at the
East of the origin 'O'
and starts moving along w+
the circle of radius 'r' and
comes to the position
'B'. As it moves along
the arc AB in an anti-clockwise direction,
it makes an angle of 120° with the centre.
Now find its displacement and the
direction of the body, at that particular
point
(ii) If the same body moves
to the point 'C' and the
arc AC makes an angle of we
240° with the centre, then
find the displacement of
the body and the
direction of the body at the particular
point.

Hi , for the first movement the displacement will be 2 r cos 30 = 2 r *./3/2 = ./3 r

Direction will be along a line inclined 30 with east towards south

For second movement, the displacement is the same as above i.e. ./3 r

The direction will be along a line inclined at an angle 30 with west towards north.
