  • initial velocity will be maximum...
  • at maximum its momentarily at rest.

lets slove!!

  •  {v}^{2}  =  {u}^{2}  + 2as
  • 0  =  {v}^{2} - 2gh
  • v =  \sqrt{2gh}

Now according to second case...

  • (v/2)^2=v^2 -2gh1
  •  \frac{ {v}^{2} }{4} =  {v}^{2}  - 2g h_{1}
  •  \frac{3 {v}^{2} }{4}  = 2g h_{1}
  •  h_{1} =  \frac{ 3{v}^{2} }{8g}
  •  h_{1} =  \frac{3 \times 2gh}{2g4}
  •  h_{1} =  \frac{3h}{4}
  • h1 =0.75 H

hope it helps..

Good luck
