Answer:60 m

Explaination:

when stone is projected vertically upwards,

u=?

a= -g

v=0

t=2 sec

Hmax=?

a=v-u/t

since a= -g,

-g= -u/t

-10= -u/2

minus cancelled on both sides,

u=20 m/s

Hmax=u²/2g

          = 20 m

when stone is falling freely,

u=0

t=4 sec

H=(20+x) m

here, x is the height of the tower.

a=g

H=1/2gt²

 =1/2×10×16

  =80 m

(20+x)=80

x=60 m

therefore,the height of the tower is 60 m
