Given
u=u
v=25m/s
a= -g= -10m/s2
t=2s

by using equation of motion
v-u=at
u=v-at
u=25-(-10)x2
u=45m/s2

solution.

initial velocity, u = ?

final velocity, v= 25m/s

time, t= 2 second

acceleration, a= -10m/s

now, a= v -u/t

=> -10= 25 - u/2

=> -20= 25 - u

=> -45= -u

=> u= 45m/s

so, initial velocity= 45m/s
