A body is taken to a moon from the centre of the earth. What change will occur in the weight and mass of the body.

If a body is taken to moon it's mass will remain constant as it it the quantity of matter contained by it whereas the weight would reduce to 1/6th of the weight of the mass on earth because weight is the force with which earth or any huge body attracts something towards itself.

Also,the gravitational force of moon is 1/6 of that of the earth.

i.e gravitational force of the earth is 9.8m/s^-2and of moon is 1.6m/s^-2.
