Max. height = u²/2g

5 = u²/2g

u² = 10g

u = 100

u = 10 m/s

kinetic energy = 1/2 mv²

10 = 1/2 m(10)²

m = 1/5

m = 0.2 kg

Given :-

K.E of the body = 10 J

Height attained by the body = 5 metres

To Find :-

Mass of the body

Solution :-

Kinetic energy is equal to Potential energy when the body reaches its maximum height.

so,

K.E = mgh

➠ 10 = (m)(10)(5)

➠ 10 = 50m

➠ m = 10/50

➠ m = 0.2 kg

thus, the mass of the body is 0.2 kg
