I am sorry to say that this answer is incorrect for the body is thrown vertically upward this means that the acceleration due to gravity will be applied or will act in the opposite direction.
therefore we wil use the formula:v=u-gt.
aree i have already tken Negative value of g
Bcz gravity opposes the motion
and also it is not given that the body has reached its highest position therefore its final velocity will not be 0.
if a body is thrown vertically up,then clearly at highest position it will at rest i.e .v=0m/s bcz gravity is acting on it
