Using
2gs = v² - u²
2 × -9.8 × s = - (98 × 98)
s = (98 × 98)/(2 × 9.8)
s = 98 × 5
s = 490 m.
Now, Using
v = u + at
0 = 98 - 9.8 × t
t = 10 s
