acceleration = g = 10 m/s 2( downward)

assuming up as positive

  1. now using formula

v^2 = u^2 + 2as

at highest point the final velocity Will be 0

putting value

0 = 14^2 + 2 ( -10 ) s

solve = s= 9.8 m

2. assume time reach at highest point = t

using formula v = u+ at

putting values 0 = 14 + (-10) t

t = 1.4 sec is answer
