hey dear
here is your answer

given data :

initial velocity (u) = 12 m/s

final velocity (v) = 0

distance (s) = 18 meter

to find : acceleration (a)

here we go

solution :

by using third equation oif motion

v² = u²+2as

but we use negative sign in front of acceleration as body ius retarding

0 = (12)²-2*a*18

36a = 144

a = 4 m/s²

hope it helps :)

Hey here is your answer
______________________

<br />Initial velocity  (u) = 12 \: m {s}^{ - 1}   \\ <br />Final velocity  (v) = 0 \: m {s}^{ - 1}  \\ Displacement  (s)  = 18 \: m\\ <br />Acceleration  (a) = a \\ \\ then. \\  {v}^{2}  =  {u}^{2}  + 2as \\  \\  {0}^{2}  =  {12}^{2}  + 2 \times a \times 18 \\  \\ 0 = 144 + 36a \\  \\ 36a =  - 144 \\  \\ a =  -  \frac{144}{36}  \\  \\ a =  - 4 \: m {s}^{ - 2} <br />
