A body mass of 100g is at rest On a smooth surface. A force of 0.2N acts on it for 25 sec. Calculate the distance travelled by the body.

Given -

Mass = 100g = .1 kg

Force = 0.2N

Time = 25 second

To Find -

Distance travelled

Solution-

Force= Mass x Acceleration

→ Acceleration,a= Force/Mass

→ Acceleration,a= 0.2/0.1

→ Acceleration,a= 2m/s^2

S = ut + 1/2 at^2

  • S is distance
  • u is initial velocity(u= 0)

S = 0 x 25 + 1/2 x 2 x 25 x 25

S = 25 x 25

S = 625 m
