hey friend!!!Here is your answer!!!

it's all about pythagrus theorem

first find his lateral displacement,ie under root (6^2+8^2)=-_/100=10m

there after find his vertical displacement ,ie,
-_/(10^2+10^2) = -_/200=10-_/2 m
