a body moves a distance of 10m along a straight line under the action of a force of 5N. if the work done is 25 joules find the angle which the force makes with the direction of motion of body

Work done for moving body is given by,

 W=F.s

Where F = Force applied

s= distance of body

 W= F s cos \alpha

 25 = 10 x 5 cos \alpha

 cos \alpha =\frac{1}{2}

 \alpha =60<br />

Thus, force makes angle of 60 degree with direction of motion
